Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Disney series, the Dani Dennison figure (number 1069) was introduced to celebrate the enduring legacy of the 1993 cult classic film Hocus Pocus. The figure depicts Dani, the younger sister of protagonist Max Dennison, dressed in her iconic Halloween witch costume, complete with her candy bucket. It serves as a nostalgic tribute to the character's pivotal role in the Sanderson Sisters' resurrection and the film's status as a quintessential Halloween staple.
The design follows Funko’s signature aesthetic, characterized by a stylized oversized head and simplified facial features to maintain brand uniformity across the Disney collection. The figure captures specific details from the film, such as her striped tights and classic witch hat, aiming to evoke the specific visual identity of 90s cinema. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by fans of the film and collectors of Disney memorabilia, who valued the addition of the Sanderson sisters' younger counterparts to the burgeoning Hocus Pocus product line.
