Where it came from
Dig 'Em Frog was introduced by Kellogg's in 1972 as the charismatic mascot for the cereal Honey Smacks. Designed to embody a cool, laid-back personality, the character transitioned through several iterations, initially appearing as a live-action frog before evolving into the animated version familiar to many today. His enduring presence in breakfast cereal iconography solidified his status as a nostalgic touchstone for generations of consumers.
Funko released this figure as number 25 in their Ad Icons line, part of a broader series dedicated to preserving the legacy of iconic commercial mascots. The design translates the character's signature wide grin and athletic demeanor into the classic Funko vinyl aesthetic, maintaining the essential features that made the mascot recognizable. The figure was well-received by collectors of pop culture memorabilia who seek to bridge the gap between childhood cereal favorites and modern display-grade collectibles.
