Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Movies line in 2020, this figure commemorates the 35th anniversary of the 1985 science fiction classic Back to the Future. The design captures the iconic scene featuring Dr. Emmett Brown alongside his faithful sheepdog, Einstein, reflecting the whimsical and adventurous spirit of the film’s opening sequences in Doc's laboratory.
The figure was conceptualized by Funko's internal design team to expand their tribute to the franchise, focusing on the character's signature wild-haired aesthetic and period-accurate laboratory gear. It was met with strong enthusiasm by collectors, serving as a staple piece for fans of the movie who sought to preserve the enduring camaraderie between the eccentric inventor and his canine companion.
