Edd Double D

Edd, affectionately known as Double D, was introduced as part of the Funko Pop! Animation line representing the beloved Cartoon Network series Ed, Edd n Eddy. The figure depicts the character in his signature ensemble: a red-striped shirt, blue shorts, and his iconic black beanie, which has famously hidden his hair from viewers since the show debuted in 1999. Created by Danny Antonucci, the series was celebrated for its distinct, wobbly animation style and slapstick humor, which Funko aimed to capture by translating the character's gangly proportions into the standardized Pop! vinyl aesthetic.

This specific figure, numbered 1898, follows Funko's established design language for the franchise, focusing on the character's intellectual and cautious personality. By releasing figures from the cult classic show, Funko tapped into the deep nostalgia of late 90s and early 2000s animation fans. The release was well-received by collectors who grew up watching the trio navigate the cul-de-sac, serving as a physical tribute to the enduring popularity of the longest-running original Cartoon Network series.
