Where it came from
Eri is a central character in the fourth and fifth seasons of the anime My Hero Academia, serving as the focal point of the Shie Hassaikai arc. This Funko Pop! figure, numbered 1013 within the Animation line, was released to expand the series' collectible representation, capturing her appearance as she is introduced during her rescue from the villain Overhaul.
The figure was designed to reflect her signature look from the series, featuring her distinctive horn and modest, bandages-covered attire. As part of a wide-reaching licensing agreement between Funko and the My Hero Academia franchise, the design team aimed to translate the expressive, emotive style of Kohei Horikoshi’s character art into the company's iconic stylized vinyl aesthetic, prioritizing her recognizable silhouette for fans of the show.
