Where it came from
Fumikage Tokoyami is a character from the widely acclaimed manga and anime series My Hero Academia, created by Kohei Horikoshi. This Funko Pop! figure, numbered 607 in the Animation line, was released as part of the third wave of figures dedicated to the franchise. It captures Tokoyami in his signature hero costume, featuring his distinctive bird-like head and his shadow-based quirk manifestation, Dark Shadow.
Funko’s design team sought to balance the character's gothic, intimidating aesthetic with the company's trademark stylized proportions. By focusing on his trench coat and the dramatic, translucent energy effect representing Dark Shadow, the designers aimed to translate the intensity of the anime’s animation style into a desktop-sized vinyl collectible. The figure was well-received by fans of the series, serving as a staple piece for collectors looking to complete their U.A. High School Class 1-A displays.
