Where it came from
General Grievous was introduced to the Funko Pop! Star Wars line as part of the series' expansion into characters from the Prequel Trilogy and the Clone Wars era. Numbered 129, this figure depicts the Kaleesh cyborg commander, known for his signature collection of lightsabers and his role as a primary antagonist in the final stages of the Clone Wars.
The design emphasizes Grievous's unique multi-limbed physiology, capturing his robotic frame and the remnants of his biological eyes. As a special edition release, the figure serves as a centerpiece for collectors focusing on the Expanded Universe and the darker figures of the Star Wars galaxy. It reflects the broader design aesthetic of the Funko brand, which seeks to translate complex, often menacing cinematic characters into the simplified, stylized vinyl format that has defined the company's output since the early 2010s.
