Gunter

Gunter, the beloved penguin companion to the Ice King, was released as part of the initial wave of Funko Pop! Television figures dedicated to the Cartoon Network series Adventure Time. The figure, designated as number 87 in the series, debuted during the show's mid-run popularity as fans sought to collect the quirky ensemble cast of the Land of Ooo. Its design focuses on the character's minimalist aesthetic, capturing his signature rounded shape and blank expression that frequently contrasted with his penchant for mischievous or sometimes cosmic behavior within the series.

The figure reflects the design language typical of the early Pop! Television line, which emphasized simple, clean lines to represent complex 2D animated characters in a stylized vinyl format. Funko collaborated with the show's aesthetic team to ensure that even the most understated characters like Gunter were recognizable to viewers. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by collectors for its faithful representation of a character who served as both a comedic foil and a pivotal narrative element throughout the long-running animated series.
