Hanuman (Green/Pink)

Hanuman, the central figure from the Hindu epic Ramayana, was released as part of the Pop! Asia series, specifically under the Legendary Creatures & Myths line. This series was developed by Funko to expand their cultural reach into Asian markets, focusing on deities, folk heroes, and traditional icons. Numbered 42 in this specific collection, the figure presents the monkey god in a vibrant, stylized aesthetic common to the brand's early design language, prioritizing simplified facial features and a larger head-to-body ratio.

The design of this specific variant features a distinctive green and pink color palette, a departure from the traditional depictions of Hanuman often found in regional art. The choice of these bold, high-contrast colors reflects the brand's tendency to create stylized collectibles that appeal to a younger, pop-culture-oriented demographic. Upon its release, it was met with interest by collectors of international variants who sought to diversify their displays with figures that bridged the gap between traditional iconography and modern designer vinyl toys.
