Hawkgirl (Bombshells) (Sepia)

The Hawkgirl (Bombshells) figure is part of the DC Comics Bombshells line, an aesthetic reimagining of iconic DC characters inspired by 1940s pin-up art. This series originated from a popular variant cover initiative by DC Comics, featuring designs by illustrator Ant Lucia. Lucia sought to blend the classic superhero mythos with the bold, nostalgic stylings of wartime nose art and vintage fashion, resulting in a distinct visual departure from the traditional comic book aesthetic.

This specific variant, presented in a sepia-toned finish, was created as a limited edition collectible for the Funko Pop! Heroes line. The design translates Lucia's stylized artwork into the signature Funko form factor, maintaining the character's signature flight goggles, leather harness, and mace while stripping away the vibrant color palette for a monochromatic look. It was received as a niche collector's item, primarily appealing to fans of the DC Bombshells sub-franchise and completionist collectors of the Pop! Heroes series.
