Where it came from
The Faker Pop! Pez dispenser, numbered 17 in the series, was released as part of Funko’s collaboration with the iconic candy brand Pez. This line aimed to merge the nostalgia of vintage toy collecting with the modern aesthetic of Funko's stylized figures. It draws directly from the Masters of the Universe franchise, specifically reimagining the character Faker, the robotic duplicate of He-Man known for his distinct orange hair and blue skin.
The design follows the standard Pop! Pez template, featuring an oversized, vinyl-styled head atop a functional plastic candy dispenser body. By selecting the character Faker, Funko catered to long-time collectors of the original 1980s Mattel action figure line who value the unique variants and deep lore of the series. The figure was received as a niche collectible, appealing primarily to fans of 80s nostalgia and those who actively curate both Funko and Pez-related items.
