Where it came from
Holiday Mickey, numbered 455 in the Pop! Disney line, was released as part of a commemorative collection celebrating the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse's debut in Steamboat Willie. The figure depicts Mickey in a festive winter outfit, reflecting a long tradition of seasonal merchandise associated with the character. It was designed by Funko's internal creative team to capture a classic, nostalgic aesthetic while maintaining the signature stylized proportions that define the Pop! brand.
The figure was widely distributed as a mass-market collectible, intended to serve as an accessible holiday-themed memento for Disney fans and collectors of the 90th-anniversary series. Like many figures produced during this era, the design focuses on minimalist detailing and vibrant color palettes to appeal to broad audiences. Upon its release, it was well-received by the collecting community as a reliable staple for seasonal displays, aligning with the brand's successful strategy of blending iconic intellectual property with holiday-themed variations.
