Huckleberry Hound (Orange)

Huckleberry Hound, the slow-talking, blue-furred southern canine, first appeared in his self-titled television series in 1958 as a flagship character for the Hanna-Barbera studio. Designed by Ed Benedict, the character was intended to evoke a gentle, rustic charm that contrasted with the more frantic animation styles of the era. The Pop! Pez line, produced by Funko, reinterprets this classic animation icon by merging the recognizable Funko Pop aesthetic with the long-standing tradition of Pez candy dispensers.

This specific figure, featuring Huckleberry Hound in a distinctive orange colorway, is part of the broader Pop! Pez series numbered 15. The line was designed to appeal to both nostalgia-driven collectors of classic cartoon memorabilia and fans of contemporary vinyl toys. By placing the character atop a functional, stylized dispenser, Funko aimed to bridge the gap between retro pop culture ephemera and modern display-focused collectibles, receiving a warm reception from enthusiasts of Hanna-Barbera history.
