Where it came from
The Jack Skellington Art Series Pop! figure was released as part of Funko’s broader effort to celebrate the iconic characters of Tim Burton’s 1993 stop-motion classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas. This specific design reimagines the protagonist, Jack Skellington, by applying a stylized, graphic-heavy pattern across his classic suit, moving away from the standard monochromatic paint application to emphasize the artistic aesthetic of the line.
The figure draws its visual inspiration from the dark, whimsical sensibilities of the film, which was originally directed by Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton. The Art Series figures are designed for collectors who appreciate an illustrative approach to character design, often featuring bold prints or monochromatic palettes that highlight the silhouette of the character rather than the film-accurate color scheme. Since its release, the piece has been recognized by the collecting community as a creative variation that distinguishes itself from the original 2011 Jack Skellington Pop! release.
