Where it came from
Jumbo is a character from the 1988 cult classic horror-comedy film 'Killer Klowns From Outer Space', directed by the Chiodo Brothers. The film is celebrated for its inventive practical effects and creature designs, which blend traditional circus aesthetics with extraterrestrial horror. Funko released this Pop! figure as part of the Pop! Movies line to commemorate the enduring legacy of the film, which has maintained a dedicated fanbase through decades of home media releases and merchandise.
The figure design captures Jumbo’s signature oversized, whimsical, and menacing clown appearance, reflecting the distinctive aesthetic established by the Chiodo Brothers' original animatronic and costume work. As a piece of horror pop culture merchandise, it appeals to collectors who appreciate the film's unique tonal balance of camp and creature-feature dread. It has been received as a faithful representation of the character's memorable screen appearance within the standardized Funko vinyl format.
