Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Animation line, this figure depicts Kagome Higurashi alongside her demon companion, Kirara, from the classic manga and anime series Inuyasha. The series, created by Rumiko Takahashi, gained immense international popularity during the early 2000s for its blend of feudal fantasy, romance, and action. This figure captures the duo as they appear in the later installments of the series, reflecting the aesthetic standards of modern vinyl collectible design.
The design of this piece emphasizes the iconic character features of the series, focusing on Kagome's school uniform and her distinct bow and arrow, paired with the stylized, chibi-proportioned feline form of Kirara. Funko’s approach to the Inuyasha license has generally aimed to provide fans with accessible representations of the show's core cast, and this specific iteration serves as a complement to the broader collection of figures that have brought the franchise into the contemporary pop-culture merchandise space.
