Where it came from
The Lady White Snake figure, released as part of the Pop! Asia series, draws its inspiration from the centuries-old Chinese legend of the White Snake. The folklore follows the story of a powerful snake spirit who transforms into a woman to experience human love, a narrative that has been adapted into countless operas, films, and television series throughout East Asian cultural history.
Designed within the signature aesthetic of Funko's Pop! line, the figure simplifies the ornate traditional robes and iconic headdress of the legendary character into a stylized vinyl format. The Pop! Asia series was specifically developed to bridge Western vinyl toy culture with Eastern cultural icons, aiming to make classical folklore figures accessible to a contemporary global audience through a recognizable, uniform design language.
