Where it came from
The Lara Croft Pop! vinyl figure, numbered 168 in the Games series, was released by Funko to celebrate the enduring legacy of the Tomb Raider franchise. Designed to capture the protagonist's iconic look, the figure features Lara in her classic tactical gear, complete with her signature dual pistols. This release followed the 2013 franchise reboot, which revitalized interest in the character and positioned her as a central figure in modern action-adventure gaming history.
Funko’s design team aimed to balance the company's signature stylized aesthetic with the recognizable silhouette of the character. By emphasizing her traditional tank top, cargo shorts, and braided hair, they sought to honor the aesthetic roots of the series that began in 1996. The figure was received as a standard collectible for fans of the franchise, serving as a accessible piece of merchandise that bridged the gap between retro gaming nostalgia and contemporary character design.
