Where it came from
The Lemonhead Pop! figure, designated number 157 in the Ad Icons series, was produced by Funko to celebrate the iconic sour candy originally created by Ferrara Candy Company in 1962. These figures tap into a deep sense of nostalgia for classic American confectionery, reimagining the familiar mascot—a stylized, lemon-headed character—in Funko's signature vinyl aesthetic.
The design faithfully captures the cheerful, simplistic expression of the Lemonhead character, rendered with the exaggerated proportions and oversized head typical of the Pop! line. Released as part of Funko’s ongoing effort to archive cultural brand icons, the piece was received as a charming addition for collectors of advertising ephemera, serving as a tactile representation of mid-century snack culture.
