Where it came from
Released as part of the initial expansion of Funko’s Pop! Television line for the Netflix series Stranger Things, this figure depicts the character Max Mayfield as she appeared in the show's second season. The figure captures her signature 1980s aesthetic, specifically the striped top and protective skateboarding gear that helped define her introduction as the new student in Hawkins.
The design process for this Pop! series focused on distilling the iconic character archetypes of the Duffer Brothers' supernatural drama into the signature Funko aesthetic of exaggerated proportions and oversized, flat-black eyes. Reception of the Max figure was generally positive among series fans, as it was one of the first opportunities for collectors to acquire an official likeness of the character following her debut in the show's second season.
