Mew

Mew is part of the Pop! Games series produced by Funko, released to expand their extensive Pokémon collection. As a mythical Pokémon first introduced in the original Generation I video games, Mew occupies a significant place in franchise history, known for its status as the ancestor of all Pokémon and its elusive nature in early gameplay lore. Funko developed this figure to mirror the brand's signature aesthetic, characterized by a large, stylized head, oversized eyes, and a simplified, rounded frame designed for widespread appeal among fans of both the franchise and collectible figures.

The figure represents a concerted effort by Funko to translate the iconic designs of Game Freak’s creatures into their recognizable vinyl format. The design process focused on capturing the essential features of the character—specifically its long, thin tail and distinctively feline facial structure—while adhering to the constraints of the Pop! silhouette. Upon release, the item was received as a standard addition to the expansive Pokémon lineup, finding a place in many collector displays alongside other iconic creatures from the Kanto region.
