Mew

Mew, numbered 852 in the Pop! Games line, was released as part of the expansion of the Funko Pokemon collection. This figure captures the legendary Psychic-type Pokémon, first introduced in the 1996 video games Pokémon Red and Green. The design reflects the characteristic Funko aesthetic—a stylized, oversized head with black bead eyes—rendered in Mew's signature light pink hue and floating pose, mirroring its iconic, mischievous appearance from the original series.

The figure was produced to cater to the enduring popularity of the Pokémon franchise, which saw a major resurgence in adult collector markets during the late 2010s. Funko opted for a design that leaned into the 'cute' factor of the character, emphasizing its large eyes and simple, rounded features. The reception among the Pokémon collector community was positive, as it provided an accessible, mass-market vinyl representation of a character that had previously been limited primarily to smaller gashapon figures or static PVC statues.
