Miles Morales

Miles Morales, featured here as Pop! number 1233, was released as part of the merchandising rollout for the 2023 animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The figure draws inspiration from the character's updated aesthetic in the sequel, capturing the distinct, expressive animation style championed by directors Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. Funko designed the piece to reflect the specific street-art-inspired color palette and urban silhouette that define the film's visual identity, aiming to bridge the gap between comic book roots and the cinematic multiverse.

The broader Pop! Marvel series has long focused on translating complex character designs into the brand's signature vinyl form factor, emphasizing oversized heads and simplified features. Upon its release, this figure was received by collectors as a notable addition to the growing Spider-Verse line, which celebrates the cultural impact of Miles Morales as a definitive modern iteration of the Spider-Man mantle. The design process for these figures typically involves close collaboration between Funko and Marvel’s creative team to ensure that even within the standardized Funko aesthetic, the character remains immediately recognizable to fans of the film.
