Where it came from
Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo, first appeared in the ninth episode of the first season of South Park in 1997. Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the character was conceived as a satirical subversion of holiday mascots, embodying the show's penchant for blending crude humor with seasonal cynicism. As a central figure in the early cultural phenomenon of the series, he remains one of its most recognizable and provocative icons.
Funko introduced this Pop! figure as part of the initial South Park wave in 2017, assigning it the number 21. The design captures the character's signature anthropomorphic shape, complete with his distinct conical hat and wide, cheerful expression. It was developed to appeal to long-time fans of the series' animation style, adhering to Funko’s standard aesthetic while translating the character's unique, low-fidelity television design into the recognizable vinyl medium.
