Mystique

Mystique, released as number 61 in the Pop! Marvel line, debuted in 2014 as part of the fourth wave of Funko's Marvel Universe series. This collection was designed to expand the Funko catalog beyond the core Avengers and Spider-Man figures, specifically drawing from the wider mutant mythos of the X-Men. The figure depicts the character in her classic white-and-blue tactical bodysuit, capturing her signature sharp features and slicked-back hairstyle as envisioned by the artists at Funko to translate her comic book appearance into their stylized, big-eyed aesthetic.

The reception of this specific figure remains tied to its status as a foundational piece for X-Men completionists. At the time of its release, the Marvel line was transitioning from relatively simple character sculpts to more detailed representations of iconic poses and costumes. While Mystique has since seen updated versions in subsequent years, this original release is often sought after for its early placement in the Pop! Marvel numbering system, representing a pivotal era when the franchise began aggressively diversifying its roster to include fan-favorite anti-heroes and villains.
