Na Cha

Na Cha, a central figure in Chinese mythology and the classic novel Investiture of the Gods, was introduced into the Funko Pop! Asia line as part of the China Story Book Classics series. This collectible captures the legendary deity known for his fire-tipped spear and wind-fire wheels, translating centuries of folklore into the stylized, large-headed aesthetic characteristic of the Funko brand. The series was designed to celebrate iconic characters from Eastern literature, aiming to bridge traditional cultural narratives with contemporary toy collecting trends.

The figure reflects the standard design principles of the Pop! Asia collection, which often focuses on detailed costume elements such as Na Cha’s traditional lotuses and protective armor. By adapting these mythological visual cues into a vinyl format, the design team sought to maintain the gravity of the source material while appealing to modern enthusiasts of Asian pop culture. Upon release, the figure was received primarily by fans of the Pop! Asia line and collectors interested in thematic series centered on historical and literary figures.
