Where it came from
Nancy Downs was released as part of the Funko Pop! Movies line in 2019 to commemorate the cult status of the 1996 supernatural horror film The Craft. The figure captures the character's signature gothic aesthetic, complete with her dark bob, crucifix necklaces, and school-inspired attire, reflecting the dark teenage subculture popularized by the film upon its initial theatrical release.
The design draws directly from Fairuza Balk’s portrayal of the film's antagonist, translating the gritty, nineties grunge-goth visual style into Funko's stylized vinyl format. It was marketed to nostalgic fans of the movie, which has enjoyed a enduring second life through home media and streaming, solidifying the four main characters from the coven as iconic figures in modern horror cinema.
