Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Disney series, the Oogie Boogie with Bugs figure celebrates the primary antagonist of Henry Selick’s 1993 stop-motion classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Designed within Funko’s signature stylized aesthetic, the figure captures the character’s burlap-sacked form and malicious spirit, serving as a staple piece for fans of Tim Burton’s macabre, gothic vision.
The figure’s design emphasizes the character's unique identity by incorporating translucent plastic bugs spilling from his stitched seams, a detail intended to replicate his iconic onscreen demise. Since its introduction, this model has been well-received by collectors for its faithful adherence to the film’s distinctive animation style and its contribution to the expansive and enduring Pop! Disney catalog.
