Where it came from
Released as part of the extensive Funko Pop! Disney collection, this figure depicts the character Oogie Boogie from the 1993 stop-motion film The Nightmare Before Christmas. The figure captures the character's internal form as revealed when his burlap exterior is removed, a specific visual moment from the film's climactic sequence. It serves as a companion piece to the standard hooded version, expanding the representation of the film's antagonist within the vinyl figure medium.
The design follows the signature stylized aesthetic established by Funko's Pop! line, featuring an oversized head and simplified proportions. By focusing on the character's bug-filled interior, the designers aimed to offer a more detailed and macabre variant for collectors of the Nightmare Before Christmas series. Like most entries in the 400-series numbering, it was produced to cater to the sustained popularity of Tim Burton's classic film and its iconic character designs.
