Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Movies line, this figure captures Pennywise the Dancing Clown as he appears in the 2017 film adaptation of Stephen King's IT. The design specifically depicts the character wearing the beaver hat, a whimsical yet unsettling accessory from the film's carnival sequences that highlights the contrast between the creature's festive aesthetic and his predatory nature.
The figure was created by Funko to broaden their representation of the IT franchise, building on the success of earlier Pennywise releases. Designed with the signature oversized head and stylized features consistent with the Pop! aesthetic, it received a generally positive reception from horror collectors who appreciated the inclusion of a niche prop variation that distinguishes it from the more standard versions of the character.
