Where it came from
The Power Sword and Dragon Dagger collectible originated as part of the Funko Pop! Digital series, specifically within the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers line. These digital assets were released as part of a trend in the early 2020s where physical collectibles were bridged with blockchain-based digital tokens, often distributed through 'packs' that mimicked traditional trading card experiences.
The design of these items draws directly from the iconic weaponry of the original 1993 television series. The Power Sword represents the primary weapon of the Red Ranger, while the Dragon Dagger is the signature flute-dagger of the Green Ranger. By digitizing these props, Funko aimed to capture the nostalgia of the franchise's fanbase while participating in the broader market shift toward digital-first collectibles and virtual displays.
