Where it came from
The Ranger Slayer Pop! Digital figure, numbered 77 in the series, was released as part of the Funko Digital Pop! program. This line utilizes non-fungible tokens to offer fans a digital collectible that can eventually be redeemed for a physical, limited-edition vinyl figure. The character originates from the Boom! Studios Power Rangers comic series, specifically the 'Shattered Grid' arc, where an alternate-universe version of Kimberly Hart is brainwashed by Lord Drakkon to serve as his primary enforcer.
The character design captures the unique, darker aesthetic of the Ranger Slayer, featuring a sleek, muted suit and a distinctive helmet visor. Illustrators at Boom! Studios created this look to contrast with the bright, heroic costumes of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, emphasizing her role as an antagonist-turned-reluctant-hero. Within the collecting community, the figure is noted for its faithful translation of this comic-exclusive design into Funko's signature stylized form, appealing primarily to fans of the expanded Power Rangers lore.
