Where it came from
Professor Huyang was introduced as a Funko Pop! figure in 2023, following the character's prominent live-action debut in the Star Wars series Ahsoka. The figure captures the ancient Mark IV architect droid as he appeared in the show, maintaining his scholarly, refined aesthetic. As a character who has served the Jedi Order for thousands of years, Huyang serves as a living repository of lightsaber lore, and this collectible was designed to reflect his role as an essential mentor and caretaker for young Padawans.
The design of the figure leans into the distinct, utilitarian yet elegant style associated with Huyang's unique droid chassis. Created by the Funko design team to fit within the broader Star Wars Pop! aesthetic, the figure utilizes the standard stylized head and body proportions while capturing the character's specific metallic hue and refined posture. It received a warm reception from fans who appreciated the inclusion of such a deep-cut character from the Star Wars animated canon into the live-action timeline.
