Where it came from
Pusheenosaurus is a part of the Pop! Pusheen line produced by Funko, capturing the viral webcomic character created by Claire Belton. The figure translates the popular recurring gag of Pusheen dressed in a dinosaur costume into the stylized vinyl aesthetic characteristic of the Funko brand. This design emphasizes the character's signature round shape and playful personality, serving as a physical manifestation of the internet-centric feline culture that propelled Pusheen into global merchandise success.
The figure, officially designated as number 12 in the series, reflects the broader shift in the late 2010s where digital brand mascots began receiving dedicated vinyl collectible lines. The design team focused on maintaining the simplicity of Belton’s original illustrations while adhering to the standard Funko construction of a bobble-head-style frame. It was released to appeal to both long-time fans of the Everyday Cute comic series and general collectors of pop culture vinyl figures, and it is largely regarded as a staple item for fans of the franchise.
