Where it came from
The Puss in Boots Pop! figure, designated number 280 in the Pop! Movies line, was released by Funko to celebrate the enduring popularity of the character originating from the Shrek franchise. The figure draws inspiration from the swashbuckling feline introduced in Shrek 2, capturing his signature wide-eyed, charismatic persona and iconic hat. This release serves as a tribute to the character's transition from a supporting antagonist to a beloved cultural icon and the protagonist of his own successful film series.
Designed in the signature Funko aesthetic, the figure emphasizes the character's expressive facial features and distinct posture, which were hallmarks of his personality in the animation studio's character development. Upon its release, it was well-received by fans of the DreamWorks franchise, serving as a nostalgic centerpiece for collectors of cinematic character figures. The design focuses on his essential attire, ensuring that the essence of his legendary swordsman image remains recognizable despite the minimalist stylistic constraints of the Pop! form.
