Rapunzel (Dancing)

The Dancing Rapunzel Pop! vinyl figure, numbered 223 within the Disney series, was released to commemorate the 2010 animated film Tangled. It captures the protagonist in her iconic purple dress, mid-twirl, reflecting the film's celebratory sequence where Rapunzel discovers the joys of the outside world in the village of Corona. The design prioritizes the character’s hallmark feature, her voluminous golden hair, styled to drape gracefully around the figure while maintaining the signature oversized head and simplified facial features characteristic of the Funko Pop! aesthetic.

Funko’s design team developed this iteration to offer a more dynamic pose compared to earlier standard releases of the character. By focusing on the movement of the skirt and hair, the designers aimed to evoke the spirit of the 'I See the Light' and village dance sequences. Upon its release, it became a staple for collectors focusing on Disney princesses, valued for how well it translated the fluid 3D animation of the film into the static, stylized vinyl format that Funko collectors seek.
