Where it came from
Reinhardt Wilhelm was released as part of the initial wave of Funko Pop! Games figures dedicated to Blizzard Entertainment's team-based shooter, Overwatch. Introduced in 2017, this oversized figure was designed to represent the German crusader’s iconic power armor and rocket hammer, capturing the character’s formidable stature within the game’s lore as a founding member of the Overwatch task force.
The design choice to produce Reinhardt as a 6-inch super-sized figure was a deliberate attempt by Funko to reflect the character's tank role and massive physical presence compared to standard-sized figures in the set. As a staple of the Overwatch aesthetic, the figure aimed to replicate his intricate armor plating and iconic lion-emblazoned shoulder pauldrons, earning favorable reception from collectors for its attention to detail and scale.
