Riku (Kingdom Hearts III)

Riku, a central character in the Kingdom Hearts franchise, was immortalized as a Funko Pop figure numbered 488 as part of the third wave of figures dedicated to Kingdom Hearts III. Released around 2019, this figure captures his updated appearance from the game, reflecting his maturation and the aesthetic evolution of the series under the direction of Tetsuya Nomura. The design seeks to translate the complex, anime-influenced character models of Square Enix into the signature simplified vinyl form that has come to define the modern collectible market.

The Kingdom Hearts Pop! line emerged from a collaboration between Funko and Disney to capitalize on the deep nostalgia and enduring popularity of the crossover series. By focusing on key characters like Riku—whose dual-natured narrative arc is essential to the lore—the line catered to fans who grew up alongside the decade-spanning saga. Like much of the series, this figure received a positive reception from collectors who appreciated the faithful inclusion of Riku's signature Keyblade and the updated character attire consistent with his development in the third main entry.
