RM

Released as part of the Funko Pop! Rocks series in 2021, the RM figure commemorates the leader of the South Korean boy band BTS. The collection was developed to celebrate the global cultural impact of the group, with each figure modeled after the members' iconic looks from their 'Dynamite' music video. This particular release reflects the band's transition into mainstream Western pop culture, capturing the members in outfits and hairstyles that became synonymous with the record-breaking success of that specific era.

The design process for this series focused on translating the distinct personalities and stage aesthetics of BTS into the signature stylized Funko form. These figures were produced by Funko in collaboration with Big Hit Music, ensuring that the likenesses maintained the essential stylistic cues associated with each member. Upon release, the set was met with high demand from the group's fanbase, known as ARMY, and is recognized as a staple piece for music memorabilia collectors documenting the contemporary pop music landscape.
