Rogue [Blacklight GITD]

The Rogue Blacklight Pop! figure was released as part of a specialized Marvel series by Funko, which reimagines classic X-Men characters with high-contrast, neon-inspired color palettes. Designed to mimic the aesthetic of blacklight posters popular in the 1970s, the figure features vibrant, saturated hues and a unique glow-in-the-dark finish. This specific iteration was created to celebrate the character’s iconic 1990s look while pushing the boundaries of traditional figure design through its stylized, luminescent paint application.

Funko’s Blacklight collection was launched to appeal to collectors seeking a more artistic, experimental take on standard character designs. By stripping away standard shading and replacing it with flat, electric colors, the design team aimed to evoke a sense of nostalgia for pop-art movements. While these figures represent a departure from the traditional muted tones of the standard Marvel Pop! line, they were met with significant enthusiasm from the collector community, who praised the bold color choices and the successful execution of the glow-in-the-dark feature.
