Ryuk

Ryuk is a central character from the Death Note manga and anime franchise, created by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. First appearing in serialized form in 2003, the character serves as a Shinigami who drops a supernatural notebook into the human world, setting the dark, psychological narrative in motion. Funko’s inclusion of Ryuk in the Pop! Animation line reflects the character's status as a quintessential figure in modern dark fantasy anime.

The Funko Pop! design captures Ryuk’s signature aesthetic, emphasizing his towering, spindly frame and his distinctive, mischievous facial expression. As part of the Pop! Animation series, the figure is styled to appeal to a broad demographic of collectors who value the recognizable vinyl aesthetic applied to iconic cultural characters. The figure has been well-received by fans of the series, serving as a staple piece for those documenting the evolution of Death Note merchandise.
