Where it came from
Released as the inaugural entry in the Pop! Town series by Funko, this set features a stylized version of Santa Claus alongside his companion, Nutmeg, paired with a festive holiday house. The Peppermint Lane line was developed by Funko to evoke the nostalgic aesthetic of mid-century holiday collectibles and vintage Christmas village displays, marking a strategic pivot toward seasonal, thematic home decor products.
The design of the figures and the accompanying structure reflects the signature oversized-head aesthetic characteristic of the Pop! brand, adapted into a simplified, uniform artistic style for the holiday collection. As the very first item in the Town sub-series, it was received as a milestone for the company, establishing the standard for subsequent sets that combined iconic characters with their signature environments to appeal to both long-time collectors and holiday enthusiasts.
