Scooby-Doo (Flocked) (Blue)

The flocked Scooby-Doo Funko Pop, numbered 149 in the Animation series, was released as a stylized collectible variant of the iconic Great Dane from the Hanna-Barbera franchise. This specific version features a fuzzy, tactile texture applied to the vinyl, designed to mimic the appearance of a soft coat, a common technique Funko employs to add variety to their standard smooth-finish figures. It emerged during a period of significant expansion for the Pop! line, which sought to engage long-time fans of classic Saturday morning cartoons by reimagining nostalgic characters in the company's signature oversized-head, black-eyed aesthetic.

The design draws directly from the classic Scooby-Doo character model, simplified into the geometric, minimalist proportions characteristic of the Pop! Animation line. While the design work is attributed to the internal creative teams at Funko, the piece relies heavily on the legacy of Iwao Takamoto, the original designer of the Scooby-Doo character. The flocked variant was received positively by the collecting community, particularly by those who favor 'chase' or limited-edition variants that offer a tactile difference from the standard, widely distributed figures.
