Scooby-Doo (Flocked) (Purple)

The Scooby-Doo (Flocked) (Purple) figure, released as part of the Funko Pop! Animation line, serves as a variant of the standard character mold, number 149. Introduced as part of the broader Scooby-Doo franchise merchandise expansion, these flocked variants were designed with a fuzzy, tactile texture meant to evoke a more lifelike representation of the animated Great Dane, distinguishing them from the standard smooth vinyl figures in the series.

Funko’s design approach for the Animation series typically relies on the signature oversized head and minimal detail aesthetic that characterizes the brand's global identity. While the standard Scooby-Doo Pop was a mass-market retail release, the flocked variant was specifically produced for exclusive distribution, appealing to collectors who seek texture-based variations within established character sets. The figure was met with typical enthusiasm from the collector community, which often prioritizes limited-run variants over base-model iterations.
