Sentry

Sentry, or Robert Reynolds, first appeared in Marvel Comics in 2000 as part of an experimental miniseries by Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee. The character was designed as a psychological deconstruction of the Silver Age hero archetype, characterized by his immense power and the constant internal struggle against his dark counterpart, the Void. Funko introduced this Pop! figure as number 1485 in the Marvel line to capture the character's signature golden aesthetic and flowing cape, appealing to collectors interested in the more complex, nuanced figures within the Marvel multiverse.

The design of this Pop! figure reflects the classic costume elements established in the comics, emphasizing the bold 'S' emblem and a color palette of gold, blue, and white. As part of the broader Marvel Pop! series, the figure follows the standardized stylistic conventions of the brand, which often aims to synthesize intricate comic book costumes into the minimalist, oversized-head silhouette that has become a staple of modern pop culture collecting. It is widely regarded as a faithful, if simplified, representation of a character whose history is defined by his mercurial presence in the Avengers and his existential dread.
