Shadow Hachi Stan

Shadow Hachi Stan was released as part of the initial wave of Funko Pop! figures for the long-running animated series South Park. The item depicts the character Stan Marsh dressed in his signature costume from the 'Good Times with Weapons' episode, which parodied Japanese anime tropes and aesthetics. Released during a period when Funko was rapidly expanding its licensed offerings, the figure aimed to capture the show's distinctively minimalist, construction-paper-style character designs in a three-dimensional vinyl format.

The design process for early South Park Pop! figures prioritized the show's iconic simplicity, utilizing Funko's standard bobblehead aesthetic to translate the two-dimensional characters into a stylized collectible. While the figure was received as a standard entry in the growing Pop! Animation line, it serves as a specific nod to one of the series' most memorable self-referential episodes, appealing primarily to fans who appreciate the show's satirical approach to various cultural genres.
