Sherlock Holmes (With Skull)

Released as part of the Funko Pop! Television series, this figure depicts the iconic detective Sherlock Holmes as portrayed in the BBC series Sherlock, which premiered in 2010. Created by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, the show re-imagined Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s characters in contemporary London, emphasizing the cold, analytical brilliance of Benedict Cumberbatch’s titular performance. The figure captures his signature look, including the iconic coat and the eccentric habit of holding a human skull, a nod to the show's dark, intellectual tone.

The design of this Pop! figure aims to distill the complex, moody aesthetic of the television adaptation into the signature Funko aesthetic of stylized, oversized proportions. By incorporating the skull, the designers highlighted the medical and forensic themes central to the series' plots. Upon release, the figure was well-received by fans of the show, who sought to capture the chemistry between the primary characters, as Funko released the piece alongside figures of John Watson and other key members of the cast.
