Where it came from
The Shou figure is part of the Pop! Asia series released by Funko to celebrate traditional Chinese mythology. This specific figure represents one of the Sanxing, or Three Star Gods, specifically Shou Xing, the deity of longevity. The design draws from classical iconography, depicting him with an elongated forehead and holding a peach of immortality, which serves as a recognizable symbol of health and long life in East Asian culture.
This figure was released as part of a thematic set exploring cultural icons and folklore, reflecting Funko's broader strategy to expand their reach into international markets by highlighting regional heritage. Like other entries in the Asia-exclusive line, the design adheres to the minimalist, oversized-head aesthetic of the Pop! brand while adapting traditional attire and features, receiving interest primarily from collectors focused on multicultural mythology and global vinyl toy releases.
