Where it came from
The Fu figure is part of the Pop! Asia line, specifically representing one of the Three Immortals—Fu, Lu, and Shou—who are central figures in Chinese folklore representing fortune, prosperity, and longevity. Funko introduced this series to celebrate Asian cultural icons and mythologies, expanding the reach of the Pop! vinyl aesthetic to include traditional deities reimagined in their signature stylized form.
The design of the figure follows the classic Pop! silhouette, emphasizing a large, squared-off head and simplified facial features to maintain brand consistency while incorporating the distinct robes, scroll, and iconography associated with the deity of fortune. Upon its release, the series was received primarily as a collectible tribute to traditional motifs, appealing to fans of both international cultural history and contemporary vinyl art.
