Where it came from
Sir Daniel Fortesque, the protagonist of the cult classic PlayStation title MediEvil, was immortalized as Funko Pop number 784 within the Games series. Released to coincide with the resurgence of the franchise following the 2019 remake of the original 1998 game, this figure captures the skeletal knight in his iconic suit of armor. The design emphasizes his distinct aesthetic, complete with his sword and the missing jaw characteristic of his undead appearance, serving as a nostalgic tribute for fans of the dark fantasy series.
The figure was produced as part of Funko's strategy to expand its catalog to include beloved legacy gaming characters from the late nineties. By distilling the complex, gothic-inspired character design of the original developers at SCE Cambridge Studio into the standardized, large-eyed Pop format, Funko aimed to provide collectors with a recognizable yet stylized version of the accident-prone hero. It was received as a welcome addition for fans who had long awaited merchandise for the Gallowmere champion.
